SECURITY LEVEL REMAINS HIGH FOR DOMESTIC AND INTERNATIONAL FLIGHTS

Travel Alert

The United States government security level remains high for all domestic and international flights. New restrictions include limitations on liquids, gels, and aerosols—all of which must be contained in three-ounce or smaller containers and then placed in a one-quart, clear plastic zip-top bag. One bag is allowed per passenger; larger containers that are half-full (or rolled up toothpaste tubes) are not permitted.

Each traveler must remove their quart-sized plastic, zip-top bag from their carry-on and place it in a bin or on the conveyor belt for X-ray screening. This separate X-raying process will allow TSA security officers to more easily examine the declared items. If you need larger amounts of liquids, gels, and aerosols such as toothpaste or shampoo, simply place them in your luggage and check them with your airline.

Please check the U.S. Department of Homeland Security site for the latest information on Travel Security Alert status and screening procedures.
